Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Odisha List | PMAY or Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a housing scheme launched by the Government of India in 2015. The initiative was taken to provide affordable housing to the urban poor by 31 March 2022. The aim is to build at least 2 crore houses for those people who do not have a pucca house.
The objective was to provide housing to economically marginalized families living in urban areas as PMAY – urban, which was converted with Indira Awas Yojana, now reorganized as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Rural has gone. Indira Awaas Yojana was launched in 1985 by the UPA Government under the leadership of Rajiv Gandhi.
